Client: Bristol City Council

Over the course of two years I worked for Bristol City Council to draw together an extensive archive of public artworks produced in the city since 1993. The archive was made digitally accessible for the first time on a specially commissioned website with an integrated mapping system to locate each artwork across Bristol.

My work involved: locating all the hard copy files for each public artwork, writing texts for each artwork, digitising photographic documentation, writing the brief to get the website commissioned, selecting the web designer and then working with them to complete the site.

Bristol is recognised as one of the leading city’s in the UK for public art commissioning and for its programme of projects with artists of local, national and international significance.
